Charlotte de Baere (1990) is an energetic artist working in abstraction. Her practice is shaped by the landscapes of Andalusia, Spain, where she lives close to the mountains, rivers, olive groves and the open sea. These surroundings are not a backdrop to her work, but an active presence within it. Charlotte paints from a place of inner listening. Images often arise through dreams, meditation, or extended time in nature, where form and color gradually reveal themselves. Her work is guided by an attentiveness to the energy of a place or a person, which she translates into layered compositions on canvas.
